Hasil  penghitungan rekap suara di KPU Kota Jogja khususnya menempatkan PDIP diposisi pertama sebagai pemenang Pemilu tahun 2014 di Kota Jogja khususnya. Partai dengan  lambang banteng moncong putih berlatar merah itu medapat dukungan sebanyak kurang lebih 77.236 dukungan atau lebih unggul jauh dibanding pesaing terdekatnya Partai PAN (Amanat Nasional) dengan perolehan hanya sekitar 30.952 suara.

Berdasarkan dengan hitungan itu, maka PDIP semakin makin mengukuhkan diri Kota Jogja khususnya sebagai basis pendukung partai  ngan nomor 4. Yang menarik dengan sesuai  hitung cepat untuk saat ini memposisikan partai Gerindra di nomor urut ketiga dengan perolehan suara sekitar 26.959.

Partai demokrat harus menerima rasa pahit,  karena di pemilu pada tahun ini hanya memperoleh suara  yang terbilnag sangat sedikit, itu jauh mengalami penurunan dibanding tahun sebelumnya. Kalau kita lihat di Pemilu tahun 2009 mampu memposisikan wakilnya duduk sebagai anggota DPRD Kota Jogja sebanyak 10 kursi, sedangkan tahun ini hanya diperkirakan akan mengirimkan dua kandida terbaiknya.
